I took food over to Catherine's tonight. What a lovely person she was, I met her mother who is 84 and has Alzheimers she was such a delight!!!! Pictures of Jesus all over the walls, I said to her mother you sure do love the LORD she said yes I do and have since I was a little girl, soooo sweet!!!! There was a man there also very very nice insisted on walking me to my car he said this is not the best neighborhood to be walking at night, I wish I could have stayed longer but it was late. I want to keep in touch with them as they were soooo nice. The house was very clean.

In remembrance of me
Today was a particularly demanding day. I have a displaced family living with me because of marital infidelity. Watching the mom continue to hurt the dad is breaking my heart and I was heavy with that burden when I left my house. I spent the day with an 18 year old kid who loves to drive my car. He chauffeured me around to the one thousand stops I had to make. He added about 500 stops to the day taking care of his family that lives all over the city. One of those stops was to pick up his cousin and her baby-daddy to visit the grave of their brother/cousin who would have been 22 today. I also visited the home of a family that is living in deplorable filth. My visit to this home has had me upset all day because the conditions were third-world horrifying right here in Newport KY.
When I stopped by a church to visit my Mom and share a Wed. evening meal with her, the band was practicing "Do This In Remembrance of Me." Today more than ever those words have powerful meaning. I spent this day walking through the darkness, brokenness and hurt in remembrance of the one who redeemed me from it.
Coming to my home tonight I seem to have never been more grateful for the heritage of responsibility, health and love from which I came...not to mention a hot shower and fragrant lotion.
It may have seemed like I did some good stuff for a few people today, but I receive the blessing of deepened faith, experiential understanding of the sacrifice made for me in which I put my faith, and the tenderness of an attitude of genuine gratitude to share with the people I love.
Family in need experience
Just to start I know I went a little overboard. The experience was one to remember. I called Barb and asked her if there was anything special she needed that might not be on the list. She mentioned a few things she needed like laundry detergent and bleach and how she enjoyed the half and half coffee. I got her all three. She was so very grateful and as an extra I got her three carnations to brighten up her day, she just about cried when I gave them to her after all the bags. I was so happy I could help and she was so grateful.
To Whom It May Concern:
Through the wonderful Isaiah Project I met the most caring people and understanding people. You are caring, understanding, loving, and always there when a problem occurs. They never say I don't have time for you.
These people need to be thanked and appreciated.
